Council Members Attend Rural Municipalities of Alberta Convention
Last week Reeve Dan Hamilton, along with Councillors Hok, Kurpjuweit, Mudie, McKenzie, Belyea, and members of senior administration attended the 2019 Rural Municipalities of Alberta Convention in Edmonton.
The convention included presentations from Hon. Shaye Anderson (Minister of Municipal Affairs), Ryan Hreljac, and Vivian Krause, multiple breakout sessions on specific topics relevant to rural municipalities, and a resolution session in which members voted to submit RMA District Endorsed Resolutions to the Government of Alberta for consideration.
Reeve Dan Hamilton commented: "The RMA convention gives rural municipal elected officials the opportunity to network with our colleagues. It is surprising the very similar challenges we all face, we are all in the same boat."
