Public Member Appointments to County Boards, Commissions and Committees

Cypress County Council will be making citizen appointments to various Boards, Commissions and Committees on October 20, 2020.  Representation from the general public is a requirement and Council encourages citizens to apply for the following positions to provide input into County programs and services.  Council reviews appointments annually.

Body Number of Positions Meeting Time General Information
Agricultural Service Board (ASB) 2 Every Second Month 10:30 AM Prefer residents of the County familiar with agriculture concerns & issues
Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) 3 Second Tuesday of every month, 10:00 AM Prefer residents of the County to approve or deny developments or subdivisions
Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) 4 As required, 1:30 PM Prefer residents of the County to hear appeals about developments & subdivisions in a quasi-judicial setting (Training required & provided)
Economic Development Alliance (EDA) 1 Monthly
Prefer residents of the County interested in broad scope economic development ideas
Assessment Review Board (ARB) 3 As required To hear property assessment concerns in a quasi-judicial setting.  Training required & provided)
 Municipal Library Board 3  Quarterly 2 residents from the Irvine Community Library area and 1 resident from Graham Community Library area, who are interested in library services.
